First day of Me-Made-May 14!

First May means hiking or having a picknick. It was a rainy day, so we had a little walk only. I was   wearing a T-Shirt by Garçonne and my beloved Beatrix-Cardigan.

Paunnet's Airelle blouse was so pretty, I just had to buy the pattern and make me one, too.

Alterations: little tuck at the neckline- pattern to make it more snug.

The Lola Pattern by Victory Patterns is smartly designed. I made it in a warm merino knit. There was this moment when trying on for the first time I thought: "why would I do this? Such an expensive fabric, it looks just awful!" But after taking in the princess-seams it is now a comfy dress.

Die Frühlingsgefühle, die der Mai mit sich bringt, empfinde ich ähnlich bei einem neuen Nähprojekt. 

Immer schon habe ich gerne gehandarbeitet, wenn ich auch jahrelang keine Muße und Zeit für ernsthafte Projekte hatte. Auch trage ich seit Kindestagen gerne Kleider und Röcke, die es aber als Konfektion nur selten im gewünschten Stil und der richtigen Passform für mich gibt. Seit etwa zwei Jahren nähe ich jetzt Kleidung für mich und freue mich, wenn es meinem Geschmack entspricht und gut sitzt. Dazu muss ich aber noch viel lernen.

Bei vielen Blogs habe ich wertvolle Anregungen erhalten, neue Schnitte und Verarbeitungsmöglichkeiten kennengelernt.

Zum von Zoe initiierte MMMay14 (Me-Made-May '14) habe ich mir vorgenommen, im Mai 2014 jeden Tag ein selbstgemachtes Kleidungsstück zu tragen. Ob mir das gelingt?
