Liebe Nähbegeisterte,

Dear sewing fellows,

heute zeigt Meike beim MeMadeMittwoch ein weiteres ihrer gern getragenen Jerseykleider.

we are meeting again at MeMadeMittwoch.

Today I am wearing my Madeleine Skirt by Victory Patterns. I loved the skirt made by Camille and used a purple wool gabardine.

The pattern features some special big pockets with edgestitching details. I omitted the suspenders.

I am wearing it with a t-shirt after a pattern by local Garconne and a sleeveless cardigan by Kim Hargreaves. I realised only after taking the pictures that I was wearing the cardigan inside out!

Skirt/Rock:

Pattern/Schnitt: Madeleine, Victory Patterns,
size/Größe: 8
fabric/Stoff: wool/Wollgabardine, Garconne
alterations: shortened by 6cm, added lining
Änderungen: um 6cm gekürzt, Rock gefüttert.

T-Shirt: Garconne T-001, Viskose

Cardigan: Blossom by Kim Hargreaves, Misty

Bis dann,

have a nice evening,

Red Lola, Merino knit, MeMadeMittwoch

Liebe Nähfreundinnen,

My dear sewing fellows,

Our winterwonderland is gone, but last week was the occasion to dress my warm winter clothes.

At first sight I liked the Lola Pattern by Victory Patterns and I imagined a warm and cozy dress.

I omitted pockets and seam band and lengthened the hem. When fitting, the dress looked just horrible: a dress like a sack and I marveled why I had bought this expensive fabric and why I would sew.
The dress was rescued by taking in the princess seams a lot. It is a shame that the sleeves are too short and the cuffs too tight but it is a warm and cuddly. I still have the intention to sew a version with a bodice of marine stripes and a plaincoloured skirt.
Schnitt/Pattern: Lola, Victory Patterns

Size increased up to down. Token in the princess-seams a lot! Next time maybe I would shorten the back bodice a little bit.

Mal sehen, was die anderen Teilnehmerinnen beim MeMadeMittwoch alles zeigen! Ich freu' mich drauf!
Now let's see what our fellows are showing at MeMadeMittwoch. Have fun!

MMMay14 Days 1-3

First day of Me-Made-May 14!

First May means hiking or having a picknick. It was a rainy day, so we had a little walk only. I was   wearing a T-Shirt by Garçonne and my beloved Beatrix-Cardigan.

Cardigan: Beatrix (=Darcy, Heartfelt) by Kim Hargreaves, Rowan Feltet Tweed
T-Shirt: Garçonne, Viscose-Jersey, Garçonne

Paunnet's Airelle blouse was so pretty, I just had to buy the pattern and make me one, too.

Pattern: Airelle, Deer&Doe
Woven rayon print, Garçonne, Freiburg
Size 38
Alterations: little tuck at the neckline- pattern to make it more snug.

The Lola Pattern by Victory Patterns is smartly designed. I made it in a warm merino knit. There was this moment when trying on for the first time I thought: "why would I do this? Such an expensive fabric, it looks just awful!" But after taking in the princess-seams it is now a comfy dress.

For pictures just have a look at the Pinterest-Board.

Please excuse my poor English!
